Love this little film (and please be aware of a few bleeped words from the best man during the toast)… these two are great. Jessica and John first heard about us through their friends (and former clients of ours) Alicia and David circa 2010 :) and told us they HAD to have a same day edit. After seeing some sample Main Features, they decided they wanted a Main Feature, too. And here’s what they had to say:
We absolutely love the main feature!! It turned out incredibly amazing… you guys do such great work!! You never cease to impress! Thank you and your team again for everything. I am still just so amazed at how wonderful all of your videos are… and especially ours. We definitely had initial hesitations about spending all this money on a wedding film but it was the best decision we made and you guys are worth every penny.
It is such an honor to have our work held in such high regard and we are so glad to have crafted this piece for the two of them.
Congrats and thanks for taking the risk, Jessica and John!

It is always an honor to be hired by your peers within the industry that you work… Jessica Hanning is a talented wedding photographer; it was a privilege to contribute to their story.
Beautiful people, beautiful wedding, and a beautiful story. There are no words other than “Thank you, Jessica and Ryan.”
We are so happy to be part of your journey… we wish you nothing but God’s richest blessings.

This is the workplace relationship that worked. Gerard knew what he wanted and because of his charm and good looks – he finally got the girl :)
I loved this wedding. You can feel the emotion in it. The vows, the speeches, the relationships… and the dancing: well – at least that one guy – oh man! Amazing.
Annnnd… I almost fell off a golf cart and caught on fire from some sparklers… all because duty called. I love my job.
Said so eloquently by her sister, ”You have been such an inspiration to me…” When love is a part of your core, you inspire others. Jessica and Gerard: you have that at your core. Keep sharing that with each other and the rest of us!

Okay… I know texting and driving is against the law – but I do not know the legality of filming + driving. Totally beside the point. These two (Jen and Rob) were hilariously awesome to work with. I mean – just watch the first 15 seconds and you’ll get a teeny glimpse of the silly-ness we had together.
1971 Dodge Charger. Yellow. Yeah. That car is SWEEEET. Jen rented it for Rob to drive around that day. I love the shots of the car.
The team they hired that day was fantastic to work alongside and Meadow Brook Hall was as pretty as it’s ever been. Lindsey and her team did such an amazing job with all of the pretty details. Not only were they pretty details, but they were so very personal to Jen and Rob’s story.
AND The Dan Rafferty Band kept the dance floor jam packed ALL night long… nothing new there – they’re amazing.
Congrats, Jen and Rob. We heart you!

The mix of classy and gritty is one of my favorite things… putting a gorgeous bridal party on the streets of Detroit lends itself to such a unique opportunity of combining two things that seem so opposite. While we did spend some time w/ the grit on the streets, we did spend plenty of time in some gorgeous venues like St. Joseph’s Church and Westin Book Cadillac. Many thanks to the team that we worked with including Blaine Seisser Photography and Kathy Byrum from Dream Wedding Planners - they made the day even more fabulous.
Jennifer and Brett – you guys are GREAT! We wish you nothing but the best always!

The Birmingham Community House was host to Nikki and Mike’s wedding #partay.
I remember being introduced to Nikki by my pal DJ from One Brand Studio. I had know no idea at the time that this would end up being the most social media filled wedding I would ever be a part of. There was tweets happening all day. All day. There were hashtags created just for this event including #vowup and #littlewedding. AND this was the first wedding that was ever live-streamed in metro Detroit (according to Nikki… who I’m sure did a ton of research on that… also – did you know that 78% of all statistics are made up?) We were all a part of #history.
One of my favorite parts in their wedding video is when the girl that introduced Mike and Nikki to each other shared that story with me… it’s crazy when we realize how the decisions we make day in and day out actually impact people’s lives.
Nikki and Mike – THANK YOU for letting us in on your day. It was a blast. Speaking of “blast”… hey, Mike – remember when you opened that bottle of champagne? That was awesome. :)
Enjoy the main feature… and get ready for the dancing… this is the stuff dreams are made of!!
In other – but related news – Nikki has also become our very first guest blogger on the Epic Motion site and in case you missed her post, you can read it now if you’re a bride or groom wanting to incorporate social media into your wedding day.

I know what you’re thinking, “You say the same thing about all of your couples: their awesome, you loved being with them, blah blah blah…” What would you say if I’m actually telling the truth? We try so hard to work with couples that “fit” us. Colleen and Christopher fit us. They are a blast. Their wedding was gorgeous. The details were unending. The rain was perfect. The power going out was hilarious. The vows were personal. The families cared for each other. Bay Pointe Inn is always amazing. Kristen and Jamie are always fun. And the sunset was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
We heart you, Colleen and Christopher! Enjoy the film!

Some people are larger than life. Gretchen and Justin – you guys get the Epic Mock Award for being just that.
I think you can get a pretty good idea of the fun we had with these guys… lots of laughter, tears, and bloody noses at the barn… oh wait – we won’t talk about that…
But seriously – wow. I’m so proud of this film and so happy that we got to play this part in your journey. Happy ever-after, G+J!
ps. Thank you, Royal Park Hotel for always being awesome and thanks to Angela Butorac for making sure everything was perfect.

Kendall and John. Super cute. Super sweet. Super rad wedding.
Everything and everyone was amazing. The venue (Colony Club in Detroit), the coordination and everything pretty (thanks, Flourish Event Design ), lighting (props to The Lighting Guy), photography by Jess + Nate (yeah, Jess + Nate!), and amazing dj’ing by Kurt (Mike Staff Productions)…
Thankful for the love we have felt from y’all. Your kindness and your constant encouragement to us is so appreciated. Thank you, guys – and best wishes always!
ps. This was the first time I was almost cracked over the top of the head with a hockey stick. Just sayin’.

A few weeks ago Linda, from Bella Uno Photography sent us a message on Facebook to see if we would be able to help out with an awesome project: Filming an engagement live as it happened! We have never been involved in a project like this before and jumped at the chance.
Joe pulled out all the stops, even having Epic Motion and Bella Uno pretend to be filming and photographing a promo for Meadow Brook Hall so that we could provide coverage without tipping Sabrina off. She bought it hook, line, and sinker.
We were so thrilled to be a part of this special moment, and are very excited that Sabrina said yes! We wish the happy couple many years of happiness together.
Who knows, maybe someday soon you will see them featured in an Epic Motion Trailer.
