Here it is FINALLY! Rose and Sam were married at The Henry Ford. It was hands-down one of the most gorgeous events we have ever had the honor of being a part of. The attention to detail was phenomenal.
This is somewhat of a newer product we offer called the Main Feature. It is a 20-30 minute piece that depicts the day with a mix of documentary and cinematic elements. It is obviously longer than a 4-6 minute highlight reel but our goal is that it’d be something that would keep the viewer engaged and really depict the story of the day in an authentic and beautiful way. This is the first of three parts of their film – the next will include the ceremony and the final will be the reception.
You’ll notice that they chose to add Super 8mm film – so there is a mix of gorgeous HD cinema with some authentic raw film… I LOVE this look. PS. This is NOT an effect – we really are using old-school cameras and film to achieve this look… I wrote a post in early 2009 specifically about why we love shooting film and why I think it’s better than just adding a digital effect to make footage look like film.
I am so proud of my team for creating such an awesome piece. And I am so happy to have gotten to know Rose and Sam over the past year and a half.
Enjoy the first part of their Main Feature and come back soon to watch the rest!
Some of the key players from the day:
